Veracity Dance Project offers an exclusive training program for dancers aged 3-19. Our aim is to create an inspiring and motivating atmosphere where dancers can excel. We take pride in delivering high-quality education to all levels of dancers, from beginners to pre-professionals. Our team of professional educators, choreographers, and coaches specialize in various styles and believe that a strong foundation in technique is the key success. We strive to provide a positive and nurturing environment that celebrates each dancer's unique talents.

Owner
Megan Lane
A native of Janesville, Megan has spent over a decade teaching and sharing her passion for dance in Southern Wisconsin. In 2016, she was named "Performings Arts Educator of the Year" by the United Arts Alliance of Rock County. Megan has an incredible ease with children and an eye for each individual's unique talents. Her choreography has been recognized on both the regional and national levels, and she continues to choreograph and guest teach for dance teams and collegiate dance programs. Her students are not only continuously recognized as title winners and scholarship recipients, but also for their sportsmanship on and off stage. "Practice like you've never won. Perform like you've never lost."

Competition Director
Samantha Williams
Samantha Williams was born and raised in Janesville, Wisconsin. She comes from a highly competitive dance background stemming locally, Midwest and reaching all throughout the country. Samantha has also worked professionally for the local Janesville Theater (The Armory). She specializes in Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. Dance is her true passion. Samantha lives and breathes being a part of the dance community in all aspects. She believes dance isn't just something you do, it's something you feel! Samantha has been recognized regionally and nationally for her choreography on the competitive circuit since becoming a part of VDP. Samantha is honored and humbled to be a part of The Veracity Dance Project Team. She wants to continue to instill strength, confidence, love and passion into all of her students. There's never a time when they won't hear "Have Fun and Dance with your heart!" before walking on that stage.

Instructor / Competition Choreographer
Alexis Perkins
Alexis Perkins joins Team VDP from an extensive competition background. As a student, Alexis participated in summer dance intensives throughout the Midwest and took advantage of numerous scholarship opportunities to continue her training. Currently a student at Rock Valley College obtaining an Associates of the Arts, she continues to pursue her own professional dance and theater career. Miss Alexis loves to bring out the very best in each one of her dancers and is excited to be a part of Team VDP!

Early Childhood Development Director
Julia Boarini-Klubertanz
Julia Boarini attended Arizona State University and University of Wisconsin - Whitewater for Dance and Theatre. She grew up performing and competing across the US and Ireland. Julia's Irish program has grown in the Rock County area over the past few years and is thriving on the competition circuit. Not only is Julia passionate about Irish dance, but she is also an experienced preschool aged instructor and tap teacher. She has a strong bond with the tiniest of dancers and loves being able to help them grow and learn in a safe, positive, nurturing environment.

Grace Long
Grace Long is a dancer who has been perfecting her craft since she was just two years old. Her love for dance has led her to teach at Veracity Dance Project, where she has helped young dancers find their passion for the art. Grace's dedication to dance has also landed her a role as an assistant at the renowned Dupree Dance Convention, where she has the opportunity to work with many well known dancers/ choreographers in the industry. Grace is passionate about working with children and making a difference in their lives. She is committed to teaching her students the importance of technique, while instilling in them a love for their craft that will last a lifetime.

Ballet Teacher
Lauren
Lauren Thompson grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii and began dancing at Ballet Hawaii. She continued her studies at Honolulu Classical Ballet, Ballet West Academy, and Nashville Ballet II. 

In 2018 Lauren joined The BrayBallet in Oconomowoc, where she performed principal roles in various productions. Since joining Madison Ballet in 2021, she has performed soloist roles in Gerald Arpino’s Birthday Variations and Sara Schumann’s The Nutcracker, as well as principal roles in Paquita Suite and works by Ja’ Malik.
Lauren has always had a passion for teaching and began assisting her teachers while attending Honolulu Classical Ballet. She began teaching at VDP in January of 2022, and is so proud of and impressed by her students!

Front Desk Manager
Kate
Kate works in Human Resources by day and in the studio office by night. She has been working in the dance industry for over 20 years. As a child Kate grew up dancing and now enjoys being part of the growth of young dancers, including her daughter. As the VDP staff knows all too well: there’s nothing she can’t ( and won’t ) spreadsheet!
